Dina Koutmase Dina Koutmase
Dina Koutmase is AfroCanarian, in first person she embodies how welcoming her place of birth is. Because places are defined by the people who inhabit them. She believes she must come from Mars and is a warrior woman.
Born in Gran Canarias, to a Togolés father and a Canarian mother and she works as a language teacher. She is also AfroNomad in spirit, actively seeking a place to fit in, being a bilingual hybrid psyche, open to a collective Black consciousness and historic shared memory, she has found in England and Cuba. She left to find herself, so she could become a woman, re-centering her Black identity.
Meeting Dina got me hooked on her energy, an almost instantaneous connection.
A natural encounter that takes me back time and time again, I already carry her in my heart.
